Dominique & Valerie's Tailgate
Mother-daughter duo and Chicago natives Dominique and Valerie traveled all the way to London to take in their first-ever Bears game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Decked out head-to-toe in navy and orange, the Youngs made sure to showcase their lifelong Bears fandom across the pond.
“This was her Mother’s Day and birthday present. This is her first Bears game and mine as well, so I was like ‘why not bring her to London?’” – Dominique

Week 6
Roshan's Tailgate
Roshan, a London native, and his wife waited anxiously in an online queue for three hours to score their Bears-Jaguars tickets — a highlight of his American football fandom that started when he was 13 years old. In 2008, Roshan had the chance to visit family in Chicago and attend a Bears preseason game, which he vividly remembers as Matt Forte’s first NFL game. Roshan’s passion for the Bears led him to playing the sport at university — being the only one in his friend group to stray from traditional English sports.
“I’ve got family in Chicago, and I turned on the TV one day, saw the Bears kicking the daylights out of Buffalo and I just thought, ‘yeah, you know what? That’s going to be my team.’ Same year, the Bears went to the Super Bowl — been a Bears fan ever since.”
“If I’m not mistaken, the Bears are the largest followed team in the UK, so I know there’s a lot of fans around. It’s nice to see a lot of Bears fans. Usually when you go to the games, you’re outnumbered by other teams, so it’s a quite surreal experience.”
