Week 11

Ryan & Brian's Tailgate

Earlier this year, Ryan and Brian went in together on a 1991 ambulance to take their Burnham Harbor tailgate to the next level — adding Bears signage, various team collectibles and a couple TVs to create the Bearbulance. Their Week 11 tailgate included some special additions, including Ryan’s birthday celebration and a Madden tournament for the boys ahead of the iconic Bears-Packers rivalry.

“Brian and I were out to dinner with our wives, and we had talked about the upcoming Bears season and how excited we were. Our sons are seniors in high school, so we wanted to tailgate a lot this year and we got on Facebook marketplace, found a couple vehicles and we settled on the Bearbulance.” – Ryan

“The Packers fans here don’t get any of the food. They have to bring their own food. They’re friends of ours — local guys who happen to like the neighbors to the north.” – Brian

Week 11

Matt & Jordan's Tailgate

Brothers Matt and Jordan had their Bears fandom and love of tailgating instilled in them by their father as kids growing up in Park Forest, Ill. Now, they carry on their own traditions such as attending the Bears-Packers game every year and repping their favorite legends like Devin Hester, who returned to Soldier Field for his Hall of Fame ring ceremony.

“We’ve been doing this for a long time. We have our apple brandy and apple cider. Some beer brats — standard midwestern fare. Chips and salsa, queso and beers, of course. The first time we were here, I was eight years old. I’m 40 now — long time.” - Jordan

“Everything about Hester was special. The best return man ever. He was fast as hell. When he caught the ball, he was untouchable.” - Matt
